Plus better tie-in merchandising could have been a real boost to their revenue, but now they're just throwing up lazy designs on TeeSpring. Sure these games have always been a little niche, but they've also always gotten glowing reviews and could have been more popular with more/better advertising. The game blends the history of science with an immersive journey across the exotic yet dangerous Wretched Islands to rescue Kai, a 13-year old girl, and her family. But that doesn’t make this game bad, just different. There is no handy task list or the ability to call a friend for a hint. The controls (maneuvering especially) are different.
The sad thing is that there's really no reason for HER to be in the position it's in. Odyssey is a science puzzle adventure game focused on scientific reasoning and argumentation in astronomy and mechanics from the ancient Greeks to Newton. Yes, this game is very different from the Nancy Drew games Her Interactive is known for. I'm sure they've discussed ideas for future games and are hopeful they'll be able to keep making them, but whether that happens really hinges on the success of MID and just how generous their new investors are. They've been struggling ever since and probably only managed to find new investors in the past year to finally put Midnight in Salem into production. I think Penny really thought Codes & Clues would have a huge payoff, and it honestly could have if they had put literally any effort into it, but it was so cheap and terrible that of course it flopped spectacularly, putting the company further into debt. I feel like the reason for the delay was just that they ran out of money. Who knows, but I’m very excited and curious to see what exactly they have planned! 😄 Available in PC, Mac, and mobile formats.

I just really feel that they would not have said “of course!” To that question if they did not already have a plan in place. So that made me wonder if maybe PART of the reason for the delay in the release of MID is that they were not only planning and developing MID but also planning for the future of their company.
Interesting story, unusual behaviour of in-game camera, RPG-elements, a lot of endings- every story is a unique journey in a Whoreizon World.I was just checking out Herinteractive’s twitter page and I saw that they confirmed that there WILL be more games to come after MID! They didn’t have to say that, they could have been cryptic and evasive or just chose not to respond.
